The annual Christmas concert will be held on Monday, November 13th. This year’s concert will be performed during the school day from 2:30 to 3:30, differing from past years. The program will showcase the Green and Gold Band (grades 6-7), the newly-formed women’s choir, Bella Voce, and the SEHS Wolverine Band.

“All students in elementary, middle, and high school, that aren’t part of one of the ensembles will attend the concert,” assistant band director Christy Barber said. “Family members of performing students and community members are also invited to attend.”

Senior Sam Alderson has bittersweet feelings about his last Christmas Concert.

“It is my last time to be a part of this Christmas Concert, so I am excited for it,” Alderson said. “We are playing some upbeat music and that will make it fun for the crowd.”

Junior Katie Clayton is also ready to perform.

“I am also excited for the Christmas Concert,” Clayton added. “It has always been something I’ve enjoyed.”

To sophomore Emma Samaron, it means more to her this year, since the student body is able to attend.

“It’s definitely going to be different since it’s going to happen during school,” Samaron said. “That means that the school will get to see the work we’ve been putting into our performances.”

For those who cannot watch the performance live, other options are available to watch the show.

“The performance will also be live streamed on the Facebook Springlake-Earth Wolverine Band page,” Barber mentioned. “It will be posted there at the conclusion of the performance as well.”
