In the third home game of the season, the Lady Wolverines took a loss against the Nazareth Swiftettes. Nazareth took the lead from the beginning, and the game ended with an unfortunate score of 61-21.

Junior Taytum Goodman and senior Halee Toscano both led the team with 9 points, and Emma Samaron followed with 3 points.

The score could have been a lot better and the next time we play them, they will not score that much, and we will score more,” junior Tayum Goodman said.

This was the first game against Nazareth this season, and the Lady Wolverines performed great.

“They had great teamwork and communication. They had trust in each other, and I think they did great, seeing as Nazareth is really good,” freshman Kyleigh Kennedy said.

Fans were very supportive during and after the game.

“I like to watch the kids because I’ve been here for the last five years, and I love seeing them grow and learn the game of basketball. and it’s just fun for me to watch them and support them,” teacher and spectator Tamequah Mahler said. “Nazareth is a notoriously hard team, and I think that they went out and they gave it 200%.”

The Lady Wolverines have an away game against the Happy Cowgirls tonight. Wolverines and fans alike are hoping for a better turnout for this upcoming game.

“They just improve every year, and they get better and better. I think that if they put their mind to it, they’re capable of anything,” Mahler said. “Our girls are just as good as [Nazareth is], they just don’t quite believe it themselves yet.”
